Default Head gasket troubles' What to do next

Right built my new engine with long studs and a cometic gasket (with weld seal)' Starts and runs fine but two of the stud were not quite seated true so when i torque the head down its pinched the gasket and slightly marked the head and leaking water from the gasket...

So clean it all up today studs re fitted and put it all back with the same gasket still runs fine' Had it running for at least half hour but still leaking (only a bit and after half hour) but from the other side..

TBH i don't think the head is that bad so should i just fit a new gasket or maby a different type' has anyone ever fitted one of these with weld seal before?

I hear the late escos ones are quite good'....Will be running a bigger turbo and 1000cc once run in

Cheers

Doug

will need to be more than just a group A gasket if you want to run the big turbo and injectors.

I have a group A gasket and a wire rung block and have had no troubles.

cometic gaskets are ok if your block and head are near perfect.

And i would not recommed reusing them either as the black coating on them helps them seal

I use grp.a headgasket and wire rung block and arp, works like a charme
Tried arp and 3layer metal headgasket when we first started the engine, was leaking after 2min, and just got worse.
Have learned that a cossie head DOES "work" so the headgasket and headbolts need to be after which choice u do.
In my appinion u should use stretch bolts with a metal gasket and vice versa
