body solder?? any good??
ok i am restoring my ERST,., got a deep dent in the wing but about the size of a 5p piece,
was thinking of body soldering it insted of filling..

Is actually lead, called lead loading way better than filler as does not shrink or react with anything.
It cools so quick when it hits cold metal(body) it does not run, then is filed to shape, VERY VERY expensive way to do it.

lead loading is more aplicable to older cars, but if you can get someone to do it, it's really good at filling seams and stuff
and you can paint over it and file it down and it's all still metal so non of this "stick a magnet to the bodywork" for dent checking either
but it's much easier and quicker and cheaper to get the dent sorted and then a small skim of filler to clear it up afterwards

Your Right....It is a dying art, but still used by many of the hand built car companies rather than Filler.
And it dosen't shrink like most of the fillers.
But as everyone says, there are easier ways to remove the dent if it's not too bad, check out some of the recomended Dent Master guys (If the paint hasn't been cracked or broken.
