Default Any TV Buffs here?

Just a thought.

http://www.121electricals.com/detail.asp/sku=PDP427XD

But would this plasma work in both US and UK?

Bascially thinking of getting a 50¨ Pioneer plasma 9th Gen TV bought over and want to know 100% if it will work with Power and TV signal inputs.

seems like it would.

Now this link isnt to the TV i want but you can see the spec's and decide.

American tv's have a sky cable style aerial fitting iirc.

Could easily adapt your normal aerial lead to suit that though.

No Idea on the other questions though

pal doesn't work on nstc
nstc doesn't work on pal
BUT
thoese cheeky chaps from japan use a 50 htx nstc thingy (which is why you can get mulit region dvd stuff on your pal only player and vice versa so there must be a way to sort it

you may need to do some electrickery though, and that might invalidate the warranty you were thinking of getting with the telly

better to be safe than sorry and wait till the prices come down

Although a lot of Euro / Asian T.V's built for the U.K do Pal @ 50hz and Ntsc,
it looks like T.V's in the U.S are not built for Pal, and there is no reason why they should.

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...tailsComponent

240 / 120 is no problem, you can get transformers.
PAL /NTSC may not be a problem if you are only using the Plasma as a monitor for a decoder.

Getting the Plasma into the U.K in one peice and without paying import duty and Vat may be a big problem.

Why from the States?
