Default Shower Unit - Attn DIY Buff!

Noticed that most of you here are DIY buff, I thought I'd post in a Ford forum!

I've been looking around to get some prices for a new corner shower unit and I can't believe how much it costs for a simple door/sides!

E.g. B&Q

door - £700!
side (a very small one!) - £550 each!
And that doesn't even include the base and shower equipment!

So I have decided that I am looking at the wrong shop and am hoping you could recommend me a good online (or shop) that can do a cracking package deals (with or without shower unit)

Cheers.

from previous experience stay away from the cheap plastic base units; get a stone one if you can afford it. the plastic ones go nasty over time and just look cheap and tacky IMO

Now that's reasonable price!

How they can get away with charging £stupid price to the customers?

Noted about the base tray, we was planning to go with stone base anyway.

Thanks.

Nice timing mate. we've been looking for a new suite.
B&Q had a lovely bath, but Homebase had better deals on.

Will keep an eye on the thread though.

Grimsby area mate.
That's a very kind offer from you.

We're actually looking into getting an extension built so just browsing ideas on possible furniture and creating a great bathroom (on a budget) that would do it justice should it go ahead. Nothing 100% yet and would be a few months down the line after getting planning permission and physically built, etc.
