Default Vodafone E900 + Unlock

If for instance...i buy a Samsung E900 for dirt cheap money on Vodafone PAYG, if i get the local dodgy phone shop to unlock it, will it work on 3? It's Tri-band so i assume it will?

I can't cope with this N73 til October

Enter the sim that you want to unlock it to and when it says invalid sim enter *#9998*3323# press exit and a new menu comes up select maloc fail. i did this with my phone and it worked fine. The only downside is each time you turn the phone off you have to re-enter the code. hope this helps.

complete and utter dog shit, hate it. I'm never buying another N series as long as i live.

The slooooooooowest phone i have ever used, just to do the simplest things. On the plus side, the camera is the dogs bollocks, but takes ages to take photos sometimes.

Can you not use a normal 2G handset with a 3 sim in? I couldnt give a toss about 3G to be honest, i don't use mobile internet often enough as i find it a waste of time with the fiddly browser and cramped pages. Only check footy scores once in a blue moon if i aint got a telly/proper t'internet to hand

Was going to get one off ebay but missed it now, was also going to use some littlewoods vouchers i found on here but i blew them on a new dyson instead, got it down from £155 to £131.50....it's £189.99 in comet

if you put a 2g phone on 3, it will use the 2g o2 network costing 3 money, they will bar the sim, ive read that, and done it, lasted 2 weeks on a pay as you go 3g sim, in a nokia 6230

with that littlewoods deal, get a mate to order it, or a different named card holder at your address?

i don't think i'd be able to subject anyone to it's horrors...but i'll see

But if it's going to cost me megabucks for a compatible phone i may as well wait til september/october and get a free upgrade. Was only toying with the idea of buying a new handset if it was cheap...and i'm talking littlewoods voucher offer £40 cheap
