after i've dowloaded a torrent file (video) my pc wont play it..... ....it will with bearshare and limewire, but not with torrents..........WHY O WHY....please help

 

Probably havent got the correct codec for that particular video....

whooooooa not codec packs, spyware laden crap!

www.videolan.org is the only media player you'll ever need

 

I installed that pack & its been fine for me!!

Note to self.....run Spyware check when I get home!!!!

 

Sadly vlc dont play everything,
But i would recommend VLC, its a player to play movies (you could also se pics and play music, but would only recommend it to other then play movies) it dont need as much system "power" as windows media player uses!

 

Normally if ive got any files that wont play, be it music or video, VLC has always played them

as the k-lite code pack has a classic windows media player in the pack, try that on=)

after install you find it on

start--->programs--->K-Lite Codec Pack--->media player

let's not beat about the bush, what you got, film ? programme or a game ?

Film's often require codecs, generally after installing the divx codec most should work www.divx.com

Games often appear as an .iso or a .nrg which are Nero image files, simply mount with Nero image drive or burn to CD, i personally mount with nero image drive before burning so I don't end up with a coaster

Anything that needs to be unrar'd needs to be scanned with 2 virus scanners and at least 2 anti spyware scanners to be on the safe side.

 

its video................and i've got the latest divx update.........and i've tried the codec mega pack.............to play video files on bearshare i just double click and my real player kicks in.........
