Default Insurance company's!!

I had the renewal through for my evo at £795, now i was hoping for a slightly bigger discount this year so i shopped around & managed to get it down to £660 so i called up the insurance company who i've been with for the last 3 years & they said "we can match that quote of £660" .........

.......... so if they could have done me that price in the first place why the fuck did they send me a renewal quote of £795!!!!

Beacuse most people are lasy to look around, hence they will be a bit cheeky and gain some free money.

We used to do it all the time. As said above, most people are too lazy to shop around and assume that because they were cheaper first time round then they must be the cheapest again.

You cant blame them for it though i suppose as it does work the majority of the time.

Most companies will have at least 5%-20% movemnet on renewal quotes.

Im thinking of going with the new company now as i feel that being with my existing company for a few years they would have looked after me in the first place & not tried to rip me off!

I was told the bigger discounts go to new customers not the Loyal ones that stay with them for a few years!!

Id be thinking the same mate but 99% of the insurance will do the same anyway.

ECOS95, that seems to be the case with everything nowadays.

AJ.... I have just replied to your post on MLR. I see that the new company is PW. You won't find a better insurance company than them. I highly recommend them

My renewal came through this year at £85 cheaper than last year, all mods declared and speeding points/fine.

You won't go wrong using them AJ, trust me. They will also insure you for trackdays and the Ring for a nominal fee per trackday.
