help with evo transferbox and propshaft..

Default help with evo transferbox and propshaft..

hello all, im just stuck trying to get my propshaft out of the transferbox on a evo 3 , ive undone all the 5 x 17mm bolts and MLR say ..
slide off lugs and pop prop shaft out, what is ment by lugs, is it that you pull something back and slide the prop out? any help on this guys

If i remember right, when i did the gearbox on mine, i undid all the transfer box bolts and the prop slid out when i removed the tranny box.......

was it a evo 3 , looks like it on the pics, did you remember weather thers 6 or 5 bolts?

Evo 2, but basically the same car. Only 5 bolts, located with 2 dowels.....

job done maty just pulled it from side to side and off came the transfer box and shaft im doing the crankshaft thrust bearings

Ive thought about doing that myself, try and prevent crank walk........but to be honest i cant be arsed

so much for only crankwalk was underneath it and the conrods in the middle 2 pots have play from side to side on the crank what the fooks caused that i realy dont now but the outer 2 or fine? that must of been the funny bearing noise i herd , i thought it was the thrust bearings, not to sure what to do now
