Default Can I legally tow a car with not MoT

I am wanting to tow a car back to my house but currently has no MoT. Can I legally do this as I am insured to drive any other car on a traders policy?

Cheers
Dave

If towed car has a "driver" it must be mot'd

If car is being towed with a chariot or a frame is only needs to be safe and be on legal tread tyres as it is then classed as a trailer

of course Gross Train Weight comes into play as well !!

isnt it illegal to tow any trailer thats not under 750kg if it has no brakes, and hence covers any car on a dolly or a-frame, thats what i was told?

Just use a 4x4 and a towing dolly, so long as two wheels are off the ground it is classed as trailer.

Still illegal, as ALL wheels on the trailer must be braked, and that includes the two car wheels on the ground.

Thats what I have been told anyway, can anyone confirm or deny it?
