...affect council tax?

IE If I was living with parents (yes still!) and setup a limited company registered at my home address does that affect council tax?

Not that I am aware of, unless you are generating lots of garbage which would affect your bin collection, I can't see why you would have to pay more council tax.

It didn't affect our council tax when I lived with Brother.. But did read up that you should declare your house as a business adress somewhere Si

Makes no odds at all - your house is the registered address and trading premises, it isn't commercial as it's a private residence.

might be worth looking into home business tax breaks though, usually can claim more back if it is run from a home office.

I believe it would have to be declared to your home insurance company as they ask if the address has been used for business purposes.

Remember to display your Ltd Company Brass Plaque, not sure if they are still strict about it but in the rules of a limited company the Brass plaque stating the company name and registered address must be displayed. Prob a load of crap now though, lol.

If you claim office space you should in thwory be telling the council as you need to pay business rates on that room.

But in reality it hasn't effected anyone I know!
