i need to change the engine size on my logbook now i have changed the engine but was wandering how to do it and how long it takes, i pressume i just fill in the new details on my v5 and send it off

In the blue section of the log book (section 7 IIRC) just enter the new engine number and cylinder capacity then sign section 8 and then post the log book to the DVLA.

Think there is also something in section 7 where you have to enter the date from which the changes occurred as well

Also remember you will need to re-tax the car if you have changed from an engine less than 1549cc to an engine larger than 1549 cc

how long does it take to change, it has changed from a 1.3 to a 1.6 but its currently sorn

Can take up to 4 weeks for them to return it depends how busy they are really.
