The Pectel board can add memory and functions to the ECU enabling such as anti-lag etc. but also primarily as a means of decrypting encrypted maps on the chip (to prevent copying). Certain tuners use Pectel boards (e.g. Ahmed Bayjoo), whereas some others do not (Stu@MSD for example)
