Default would 225/45 tyres fit ok on a saph cossie?

as title anyone have them on their car at all? any one have them on thier saph at all? my saph is standard road hieght with konis and upratted springs

225-45-17's would rub bad imo.

especially with people in the back.

I'm going 18's and definately need a 35 profile on a 225 tyre!

If you are asking about 225/45x17 then I can be of help. On an 8" ET35 rim you will need to roll the rear arches... at the front the same will apply but the arch shields and bumper will need chopping and other than that it will look hideous

i bought 2 for my 3-door and they are far too big(the 45 profile),waste of £150,they are getting tossed

opps cheers for the replies, sorry i meant to say for a 17" rim, dont know the offset tho as i haven't seen the rim yet, i have been offered 4 alloys in pretty good nick and 4 tyres, but wasnt sure if they would fit tho,

looks as tho i will have probs tho is that the general opinon?

If you like the rims then have them mate, if the tyres are 45 profile then get them taken off and sell them and chuck some 40 profile ones on there

45's are too big really, my mate was running 245/45/17's on the rear of his (due to them being on a set of wheel he bought) and they rubbed like a twat, had they of been a 45 then they would have been ripped to bits!

Actually i think the tyres may be 215/45/17 would they be ok if they were 215's? (will know for deffo later)

i had 215/45/17 on my car and they rubbed the front and rear

the wheels were 7.5x17 but i think the offset was et30 or there around

it was mainly on the front and the back lip by the rear bumper

so had the fronts rolled and just roled the back bit where they were catching

225 may go on if you roll the arches fully
