Rust in the chassis rails, battery tray, sills, arches, front panel, sunroof surround both inner and outer, inner wings and generally all over in case its a shit one. The rest of it mechanically you'll just need to check while your driving it and look out for smoke out the exhaust in case the engine or turbos shot...

Hope this helps and welcome to the site

at 21 you should be fine mate, how many NCB?
like Nath said rust is the biggest issue, and other than that generally engine condition

from stripping mine down you need to look inside the front panel to see if its rusting where the bumper bolts on, the rear arches can rust out big time under the kit so check there, to give you an idea heres mine before it was sprayed

Check the boot floor also where it meets the inner arches for the shock mounts

Engine wise look for smoke, blue puff on startup its probably stem seals, not a prob really, about £15 and an hour to sort, white more than likely head gasket, blue all the time its rings gone and black will be overfuelling.

Give the car a real bootfull so it comes on boost and then back off the throttle, watch for smoke on over run, if so the turbo is shot...

Are there any mods done to the one you're looking at?

Good luck with it mate
