1 x mondeo
things go wrong
i fix things
more things go wrong
i fix more things
car behaves itself
i reward car
car now fitted with nice new stereo and dash
car throws a wobbly and breaks front coil spring
cunt
sometimes i don't know why i bother
the mrs is going to go spare when she finds out i'm going to have to shell out more money on the car after i've already shelled out the thick end of about £250 for the later spec dash and bits to go with it

my fiesta failed it's mot. badly. then my brothers on monday. then the capri died yesterday. 3 cars to fix now.

But you made the rookie mistake of buying a ford

did you sort out the wiring?

grind the old spring off, will save loads of trouble normally

it's broken about half a coil from the bottom or so it seams
the problem is that it's a bit pigtailed so the spirng is now poking out of the side of the strut cup

yeah they often do that, iirc it's a right bitch to remove the spring as it's all on the piss hence why grinding it into bits saves hassle.

i'll be on the look for a mondeo owners club now, just to find out what else can go wrong with them as well as figuring out if it's worth uprating the suspension without lowering it because the 18's make the ride quite noce as it currently is
