Yeah i fancy going somewhere which isnt the USA or Europe on a Holiday after exams... Was planing on Japan but tbh it got a bit expensive and i really cant afford it now
So Dubai looks good! But not sure how long to go for, wether two weeks would be too long and if its too hot in June etc, although i dont mind the heat... but high 40's is tooo much

I havent been there, but my mom and step dad and my 2 brothers was there this summer.. last summer. they was there in june. And yes, it was HOT.
But they did like it very much!
Its no public transportations there, all in taxis.. the hotels though have busses that have shuttle between marked´s and hotels.
They speak very good English there. Allot of people from Sri Lanka and India there though.
And you could take your skies with you, yes i am not drunk they have a indoor snow hill there
they where there for almost 2 weeks(12 days), not any longer then that.

My parents have lived there for 20 years. We went in August once and only 1 day did it drop under 50C. Its a wicked place and I'd highly recommend it. Try and get a hotel more in the city, it'll be cheaper than all the beach places and taxi's aren't that much really.
Don't think its cheap though, if you go to all the touristy places, it will cost you a bomb.
Couple of things I'd suggest doing.
1) Visit Hatta Fort
2) Go quad biking, Friday nights in the desert outside Mirdif (old airport area). Cost 30 dirhams (about Ł6) for 30 minutes and its an absolute hoot, non of the H&S bollocks.
3) Visis the city centre and go hunting round the old markets, take an abbra across the water and visit the gold souk, you'll love it.
4) Eat a shawarma, kind of like a kebab, but better meat and tastes great.
5) Hire a Toyota Landcruiser and go wadi bashing out in the desert (Arabian Adventures do this).
6) Check out the new indoor ski slope place.
7) Visit Wild Wadi water park with the worlds second biggest vertical drop slide.
Oh yeah, the sea is like getting in the bath!!
Cheers

Been 3 times!
First time stayed at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel,
Second time at the Burj-al-arab,
Third time in one of the Masayf beach villas at the Al-Qasr!
You will not find anywhere else in the world as clean or with better customer service!

Went there a few years back, an absolutely amazing pleace, but I would recommend going for more than a week.
Go into the desert and hire a dune buggy, theyre fucking amazing fun with the entire desert to play in, go to one of the hyper mall things and enjoy technology for a tenth of what you would pay over here.
There really is an immense amount of things to do there, buy a holiday guide or something.
I went in september
Peaked at just over 50 degrees.
I actually melted.

I think you will love it, and the heat is very dry so not hard to handle. We had 10 days there a few years back, staying at the Residency in The Hyatt Regency (look for the revolving restaurant at the end of Corniche!)
Watch your feet in the heat - I burned the sole of my foot when I put on flip flops that I had left out in the sun instead of under the sun-lounger!
Remember that getting a drink is fairly straightforward for westerners, but if you get pissed and make a nuisance of yourself you will get locked up.
