Its different smit, i no what you mean tho as i helped my mate do his on his 4x4.
I got the fucker in but it was a pain in the arse, had to drop the box down a bit and half an allen key to tighten it up, a quarter turn at a time
Still its in and is working great

ive fitted one to mine,a burton power job, makes the box feel alot better and tighter, but i also heard that the t5 being an old design box doesnt like getting changed that quick, mine does crunch from second to third when pushed hard
b and m for a 4x4 is a must though, done it to all of mine

10K+ Poster!!
The design of a T5 "should" make a T5 box very difficult to change but i have had no troubles in over 3 years.
I can beat the syncro of the box if i try to go too quickly tho.

Apprently on the 2wd boxes when you have a B&M fitted it doesnt go into gear fully even though it feels like it has and feels tighter you dont notice it yourself but thats what happens apprently and after a few thousand miles your gearbox will end up being knackered so ive heard
