id like to know who you think would win, mike tyson in his raging days where he tore through the heavyweight division in the late 80's early 90s before prison or lennox lewis in his prime 2000 odd?
i vote for tyson because when lewis is hit proper he hits the floor hard, i think tysons menacing power, deadly uppercuts and speed would hurt lewis. look how many fights lewis has been in trouble in - bruno, mercer, briggs, klitskco etc....
tyson has been in trouble in fights with holyfield, but that was when he was going downhill very quick.

Tyson in his early twenties would have destroyed any heavy of any era, IMO. When he was hungry and had the head movement he was devastating.
Lewis would have been beat before he got in the ring like virtually all his opponents back then.

no disrespect to lennox, he's a top top boxer, but even in his prime, he aint getting near tyson in his, mike was an absolute animal. when they did fight, that wasnt mike tyson he was fighting, it was the shell of the man formerly known as mike tyson, thats why lennox gave him a lesson in boxing. its a shame mike had to keep embarrassing himself with the fights, but, he needed the money, had to swallow his pride, and let boxers not fit enough to be in the ring with him, woop his ass.
couple of youtube vids of mike

if tyson had nt lost his marbles
(women and bad management)
you would be talking about a boxer that
would have to be in the top three heavyweights
ever .
lewis would just about make it to the top ten ..........

Definately Tyson IMO! Used to love watching him fight, such a shame whats happened to him.
Heavyweight boxing isnt the same anymore, look what we've got now, Audley Harrison?
He gives it the big i am and he's useless!
I'd love to seen him fight Tyson in his prime!

lewis would have sat behind the jab all night then ko'd tyson in the later rounds.
if we are talking boxing then i will give the boxer my vote![Top](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/smile011.gif)
no disrespect to tyson ,as the youngest heavyweight champ he was an animal but he coud never have got past the skill,reach,height,weight(3 1/2 stone at some points
)
tyson walked around the ring on the flats of his feet looking to give out a haymaker or upercut because that was all he knew.

agreed.
tyson was no doubt a better, exciting fighter than lewis.
Tyson was just a more complete, he may have looked like an animal which he is but he still boxed inteligently...... the way he ducks n dives is awsome. i only weigh 60kg but cant duck an sway as fast as he did

tyson hands down.if he hadnt had a bad crowd around him and got done by women he couldve been 2nd to ali.imo of course.
tyson was an absolute beats who although was really a street fighter, had the agility of a much lighter man.
yes i agree he was always looking for the knockout but why not when you know you have the power in one hand to knock a guy down!he worked his way around battering the guy for a bit and then once he knew where he stood went for the killer blow.such a hard man by all standards.
i disagree with the comment on him having trouble with lewis due to his size, tyson always managed to get under the longer reach of the bigger guy.
lewis was one of our better fighters but he still didnt do it well enough imo.
bruno,ok was not a tip top fighter but he made up for it in personality which is why he was so well loved.strange really cos you should go by talent in boxing but it dont work like that.
gone are the days of the good "characters" ie...bruno,benn,eubank, the sugar rays etc

I use to like the days of Benn, Eubank, Collins, Watson. Maybe they weren't world explosive but good to watch for British guys
