Default discussion t3 v's t34 your thoughts advantages/disadvantages

im running just 310 bhp with my rwd saph been offereda t34 for reasonable money, but i dont know any one with one or who has had experance with one,
what sort of gains will i see if any over a t3?
will it fit straight on in place of the t3?
i assume i will need to get my car re mapped am i correct?
what should i be paying for a 2nd hand unit?
i assume dark greens are suitable injectors?

can any one enlighten me especially if you have a t34 !!!!!!!!

I went from a T3 to my T34

The T3 was a fucking brilliant point and shoot car, as soon as you turned the corner the power was there
Then went to the T34 expecting a laggy car, mine has the .63 housing, BUT i was shocked, not as Resposive/punchy as the T3 but MUCH better when the boost comes on and holds the whole way

I am getting a touch more boost on the T34 soon so will be just as puchy i hope

IMHO Go for it mate

At the end of the day, if you dont like it, change back

You will need a re-map and the Greens will be fine

A good T34 2nd hand should be about £500

well m8, ive just blown my turbo(t3) and i am going to get my car done with a t34, both set up at stu's ,same car , same engine etc so the only difference will be the turbo so i will be able to tell when i get it back, yes the chip needs to be a different set up to a t3 and as for injectors i think it doesnt have to be anything as standard escoz doesnt run greens , i think its just the fact that when people go for t34 its usually connected with wanting more power which goes hand in hand with bigger injectors etc, i'll know for sure shortly what the difference feels like so i'll let you know

To show you the difference in lag

My T3 made full boost (26psi) at 3300rpm

The T34 makes Full boost (29psi) at 3600rpm

but am i gonna see much more of a improvment performance wise? love the way it drives with t3 but think its at its limit! what about t38's? or is it all to do with the mapping? would like to to se 350-360 ish ideally but dont want the lag associated with a t4

In that case all you need is the same set-up as mine

Greys, T34 and Chip to suit

You will love it, BIG improvment. I LOVE driving it

JUST DO IT

i had roughly the same spec as tiff

chip of stu

and the thing flew straight into a tyre wal...pmsl

but seriously, if setup right, it is VERY reliable conversion, i run 21psi held for 14k

i ran 15psi on my T3, and now run 20psi on a T34. Its a bit more laggier but feels so much better on boost.

Forget the T3, you're not getting the best out of your car with it. Get a T34 and get it mapped

I got one

Tis noticeably laggier than a T3 0.48 but af Tiff says feels soooo much stronger it's unreal!

Wouldn't go back to a T3

my stage one holding 15 psi was quite quck but did slow down when the speeds got up to about 135. new low comp re build with t34/0.55 holding 20 psi pulls like a train all the way past 155.
t34 well worth its money....got a really good deal from turbo technics on a stage 3 about half the price id seen elsewhere!
