A lad at work has been doing it for years on his 306, he recommends having atleast 1/3rd of diesel if you are going to use it. Oh and yes it does stink lol.

it smells like your cooking chips in your engine bay lol. no smells inside the car though. check on the web how mondeos like this oil and if they run ok on it. also check for any problems it may cause like blocking injectors etc.

Smells a bit, but it never bothered me

I have 100 litres of diesel cooking oil mix, a barrel and pump for storage and dispensation, also a fuel pre-heater that goes before your injection pump and heats the mix to about 85 degrees celcius to avoid any undue strain on your pump for sale if you are interested - PM me

i ran my old corsa derv on chipfat for a while, was awesome! 120 miles to a fiver

i would just normally run 1/3 diesel with the chipfat to stop it from complaining on cold mornings. i ran it 100% veg oil occasionally and it was a pain to start and idled lumpy, went like fuck though! seemed to run alot better on it.

if its one of the newer diesel engines i think you need to be thinning it down with whitespirit but not sure on the details as ive never had to bother.

from experiance you should only run oil on a bosch equipped diesel, i ran a galaxy tdi on it for 8 months, straight veggie rapeseed oil from tescos pmsl, used to buy 3 litres for a quid, the looks i got in the carpark pouring in 10 bottles
