Do I understand you correctly ?

Are you saying the coil is sparking with the ignition and the engine is stopped ?.

Can you hear the fuel pump running continuously in the SAME circumstances ?

If so, sounds like a crank sensor issue. (open circuit).
There is a test for this if you have a multimeter.

Techie, dont start that "war" again

Was the car running fine before this or did you have it in pieces ?

SOme possible problems...

The ecu is missing its earth connnection (inlet manifiold)

The crank sensor is open circuit.
Pins 3 and 4 on the ecu loom connector should read 600 to 1200 ohms
when the ecu is removed.
Pins 3 and 4 are on the longest row of pins counting from the loom entry end.

The ignition module has lost its earth which is on the inner wing next to the coil.

Obviously, without seeing it myself it could be anything but these are
most likely.

Did it run ok before the imobiliser issues ?

I wouldnt trust those WIPAC units working or not.

It really sounds like thats the issue to me !

You need a pro to look at it or its going to be a ball ache to sort out.

Usually on immobilisers, they isolate 3 to 4 circuits.

Usually fuel pump, ecu power crank/phase signals.

If any of this is faulty your car will not run and may exhibit problems
like you are getting.

Where do you live ?
