i have put a few bits & bobs on ebay yesterday & within an hour i got bids from a guy in malta even tho i said i dont post to malta (united kingdom only) plus he never had any feed back at all,

then i got a message from him sayin how much to post to malta, so me thinking malta was just next to spain (my geography is shocking) i said id price it up & tell him tomorow, so he then bidded on another 3 of my stuff on ebay, then i found out malta is in an island in the middle of nowhere,

so i sent him this..

hello mate i havent checked for postage yet but ive just had a look to see where malta is & im pretty sure its going to be expensive & with out being sarcastic my postage says united kingdom only...but if you are genuine i will price postage & packing up for you.

do you think i should just let him bid tell him a price for postage & see what happens or should i cancell his bids all together (however you do that)

 

might be worth giving him a chance, but wait until the payment has arrived and cleared before sending the items off... but he does sound a bit dodgy to me

 

i would cancel them as he has no feedback,and then change auction stating you will post to uk only and if you have under 5 feedback,please contact me first.

The is a big RS following in Malta so is probably genuine. If it was nigeria or something then id say fuck em off .

Just make sure you get the money all cleared before you send the stuff off then you have no worries

 

i state in my auctions that i dont post outside the uk and in buyer preferences it blocks bids from sellers who are outside automatically

as he hasnt asked before bidding i personally would cancel the bids, he doesnt meet your buyer preferences

imo overseas buyers are more hassle than theyre worth

You never know, could be a scammer or just a genuine bloke. Malta does have some hot Fords....

 

Just sold alot of bits and i had many bids & questions from people from Malta, seems that bits are quite scarce over there hence buying from the UK. All seemed genuine

 

Malta's ok mate, loads of RHD RS's there, you'd be surprised how many users on PF are from Malta

have to say someone from malta wanted the t34 but i didnt want to send it to them as was very wary, hate to be a genuine buyer from there though
