Default Windows SP2 help, please

alright, since installing Service Pack 2 on my pooter, it's gone all spakafied on me. It no longer finds my mobile phone, when it's connected via USB lead, nor an MP3 player, yet, it finds others. Could this be due to the service pack, or something completely different? Any help, much appreciated.

SP2 enables firewall, and other security thing - check for that.

start > run > type services.msc

scroll down to "windows firewall and internet connection sharing" right click it, properties. change startup type to disable, then click the stop button

fixes the vast majority of winxp sp2 issues

Have you reinstalled the drivers for your phone and MP3 player? Cos they were probably lost when you installed XP2 over the top of SP1

Also download latest drivers for your chipset from your motherboard/pc manufacturer....USB controller drivers may be incompatible with SP2. Stranger things have happened
