Default AIM XML / Stack / SM4 / RxTx / CAN

Right im now at the crossroads and i have to decide if im to sell my stack dash and a get an AiM XML.

Reason would be that i dont like the idea of 2 sets of sensors in the engine bay, very messy.

Right until recently i was lead to believe that the Stack dash could only work via an external loom, now i've found that is not the case and can work via an RS232 wire to a T6 ECU.

As far as im aware the AiM dash communicates with the SM4 via the same setup?

So surely the stacks should be able to run with SM4?

Anyone with some info or help would be great.

even if they do not use the same protocol, as long as whatever ecu you use has a CAN or rs232 output, and the dash you want to use has a CAN or rs232 input, then you can easily program a converter

does the pectel monitor give a constant rs232 transmission, or only when you go to download a datalog from the internal memory?

if it has the ability to give a constant datastream for datalogging to laptop, then that same datastream could be used for a dash display (converting if necessary)
