Default BMW remote thermostat housing - from what car??

I has having a look around chipolatas RWD nova earlier, and spotted t has a remote thermostat housing

all he knows is its from a BMW, but he doesnt know which one...

any ideas as its the goddam answer to my prayers!

it will be on the block ginge.

i need a remote one as im putting a zetec in the 3dr and got no room by the bulkhead for the std zetec one as its quite chunky

MGTF's have a remote thermostat housing, I have a few of these if needed!!

ill try and get up in the week then and collect the bell housing - top man

can stick the engine etc int the 3dr now and finally make some progress!

do you have any pics of the mg one?

i guess it will be the same ish to plumb in?

Why have a remote one in the first place? I know your doing it because of space but why would a manufacturer do it?
