dont you think its a bit silly to have a not very respnsive turbo,,, but then try and make a manifold for a responsive engine?

Its not a standard GT30,it has a few differant mods done to it. He is on an 8 injector throttle body set up like Martins.
He may change the turbo at a later date if he is not happy with it.
Terry Davies mk2 escort has a GT30 and runs a 10.01 @140mph. Thats good enough for me and him lol

what ecu is he running?

and i didnt mean its bad for power,, i ment,, its pointless doing throttle bodys because the response from the turbo far outdoes the responce from the throttle bodys

Providing the bodies are sizes correctly, they shouldn't kill power but will give a better off idle response for a start

nar it wouldnt,,, the spool of the turbo would be slower (in terms of time) than the air could travel from the throttle plate to the combustion chamber!

Please note that the MIS manifold is designed as a POWER manifold, in it's standard format, it does exactly what BD10s do .

To make it responsive, you have to do what Martin has done . This turns a Ł3k manifold into a Ł5k one . You then have to add the costs of a T6 or comparible multi-map ECU, this adds ANOTHER Ł2-3k on to the price. So Ł7-8k for just an inlet manifold starts to get into the realms of absurdity .

I dont think anyone driving a cossie would be able to tell the diffrence, l know because have just had a set taken out the Saph and its alot better with standard cams
Dave, that statement dont make sense

You are saying that a Cossie driver would not be able tell the differance between standard cams and BD-10's........then you say it's a lot better with standard cams
