Default Transit+trailer with car on it...legal to tow???

Have a car to collect possibly this weekend and been offered a shot of my brother in laws 2001 Transit and wondered if im legal to use it with a car trailer with a car on the trailer !!!

Not sure on the legalities of how much you are allowed to carry or tow when it comes to vans and wondered if anyone knew if this would be alright to do

The car is a Mk3 escort by the way and am not sure of the model of Transit, 260 i think if memory serves correctly, i know its a semi high roof short wheel base front wheel drive.

should be fine that mate, the van will weigh more than the trailer and car together, as long as the trailer has it's own brakes, what would you use otherwise it would have to be a challenger tank mate

Also check the "train weight" for the van.

Cheers.

I thought it was upto 750kg? the police have never said anything when I've been stopped twice towing a bike.

no worries then
you get class C anyway and you can tow stuff upto a certain limit (i think it's just over 8 tons total) so as long as you are comfortable driving the distance you need to travel it's all
