Default plumbers - how do you do it?

deal with other people's shit i mean?

i just had to replace the outlet between my khazi and the soil stack and it was fucking grim. i've only been drowning little brown kids in there for 6 months out of probably 20 years of use, so it was only a very light coating of my own faecal matter and mostly someone elses which is not a pleasant thought.

how do you do it, day in and day out? is it the love of the job , or just the money?

I've had to change the siphon on the upstairs toilet (it's close coupled so I had to remove the whole pan to replace it) - not nice when I know what me and my bro have put in it! At the same time I had to change the waste pipe and float valve on the downstairs toilet which was equally grim (the smell coming from the sewage hole was fucking horrible).

I asked a friend of mine how he does it for a living and he said that most of the time it's clean, but he has been asked to fix some fucking horrible stinking toilets as well!

Like everything, I guess you have to take the rough with the smooth!

you havnt done a gril job untill youve had to clear blockages on a back stack pipe on a set of urinals.

now that is a shit job and really does stink.
but when u get paid 600 quid to run a router down 4 of them 1 saturday morning its not so bad.

@ festering

plumbing as far as i'm concerend doesn't involve anything other than getting water to the washing machine, for the poo jobs there is always a bucket of water
