hey im sorry i know this gets asked a lot but does anyone know anything about which laptops are good? i was looking at dell and toshiba ones, for about £800? i need one for uni? any ideas? thanks

pound for pound dell are better spec for the money the cheap toshibas are allways fecking hugeeeeeeeeeeeee and the little tosh ie Portege etc are fecking expensive 
D600 Dell is good we used em for about a yr now at work D400 is good also and smaller but more expensive I will stick with me Tosh portege Centrino as its dinky and fast

i was looking at the inspiron 1150... does that look a good model also is it pretty much essential to take out warranty?
and how much better is pentium 4 than celeron? whats the difference?

As a comparisson I have a Tosh Portege Centrino which will run for 3.5-4 hours I also have at home as a spare a Tosh Sataliete Pro P4 which runs for an hour maybe 1.5h max
Celeron are failed P4 chips apparently. Same company make them but the cache of the celeron is lower.
Warrenty, be careful its where any people weather Dell or PCWorld make there money. Read the small print before you sign. Most are not worth the paper they are wwritten on.
