im having a dilemma with DVLA my car was originally registered here in uk but in 1998 got exported to guernsey and put on there plates. i have bought it back into this country to register it again.
they was going to put it on a brand new reg ie 07 but they said it been registered here before so they new original reg details which they aint got. they asked if theres any parts on the car that ford would be able to take number and ford will know the original reg number??

Can't remember if HPi just shows a plate change, or the actual plates -worth a phone call to ask. Chassis no. might reveal the original registration at Ford, again worth asking your local dealer - or one of the Ford parts boys on here may know if that's the case.

Ford will be able to give you the year of manufacture details from the chassis number(i could give you all the details but it has to be official)
That should be enough for the DVLA...

they want any written proof from either ford/hpi/customs ect

they want to put it on the original plates that it come from ford with which i have no clue.

there not even any etching on windows
