central locking probs on a pergeot 306 after fitting stereo
i hard wired a stereo into my mates r-reg 306, and now his central locking doesn't work.
i also couldnt find the permanent live, there was switched but no permanent live.
there was 3 plugs going in the sterio, one with the power cables(and a thin orange cable that turned the whole car lights on when connected to power
) , one with the speaker cabes, and one with 2 thin cables (i presume they are for his indicater stalk stereo control)
any ideas why his central locking doesnt work anymore, and why i cant find a permanent live?

Check the wiring connector that goes from the shell to the drivers door. Twist and remove the connector,you'll probably find the terminals are bluey/green from the moisture getting in.
Re-wiring it is,to quote mike strutter,"a king size pain in the fuckin ass!!!",believe me,i've been there.
Do the electric windows still work?
