it could be the seal that seals the pipe, may be seaping past.

cannot see it being the pipe before the seals.

Check the pipe itself, mine was very badly perished[spl] when i bought the car.

I couldnt get one from ford, managed to get a linned silicon one[power steering fluid eats silicon]. Like has been said if you cant get one from Ford a hose manufacturer will be able to knock one up without a problem.

Nash

the bottom rubber pipework has spiral cable tidy plastic over it ..

im not to sure if thats a standard thing tbh ..

so carnt really tell where the leak is from till i jack her up ..

i was chatting to a mate who knows a company that makes hoses ..

but they need to be off the car ..to get the specs for them ..

and as its my only car

i think its gonna be at least 2 days off the road for the job

when the pipes are refitted do you just top up the header tank with fluid

sorry as i have no idea

If it's your only car and you can't afford to be off the road ( i.e the leak isn't too bad yet ), get some 2nd hand crap OE PAS hoses off a breaker and get the hose places like Pirtek/whoever to make them up from those?

if it's the pressure hose it'll spit it off the end in double quick time
and that'll leave it's mark on the driveway, the engine bay, the everything else it touches
