Default Track Day Helmet at Lidl

Found this earlier this evening - no idea if it is either a good helmet or a good price (or both?) so would appreciate any advise.

Fuck me, I spend more on my Friday night's takeaway than some spend on an essential piece of safety equipment

Sorry I failed to include the link - happily The Youth is better at this than me!

I'm guessing from some of the responses that this helmet isn't necessarily a good one? Is price really a good indicator of quality and, if so, how much should I be looking at paying?

Think you can get a Shark lid for around Ł40 - Ł50.

Well known and fairly comfortable and if its just for trackdays then it will be perfect.

Edited as I got the brands mixed up

To be honest I think I would feel more safe with no helmet than a helmet from a Lidl. If you buy one of these then you must not have a working brain to begin with so just wasted your money. Take it back.

Personally, I'd rather wear a packet of Lidl tissues on my head than one of those helmets. Dunno what they're like to be honest, but I'd expect they're lacking a kitemark. What else? A fire extinguisher filled with squirty cream?
