Yes, the ITP048 is a direct fit apparently. I can supply it too if needed.

i beleive he has an 044 in tank fitted to his EFi tank (Escort Mk4) and was wondering if an 048 would be a straight swap

So whats the outcome?
I have an ITP048 intank and i get fuel starve when corning hard...
The ITP044 made the car drive like crap and then fell out of the cradle, as the outlet is slightly different!
