Default Problems getting rid of a cat B car

We have an R reg saxo which is damaged and has been given a cat B damaged report but it seems that it cant be sold on whole . I cant be bothered to break it myself and i ain't going to pay for it to be taken away, whats the best thing for me to do?

Wont the insurance company own it after they pay out?? They'll take it wont they??

My mate bought a crx years ago which turned out to be a cat b, some asian lad came round and started blabbing on about it beng cat b so me mate fucked him off cause he thought he was pulling a fast 1. He sold it later that week then got his brothers girlfriend to check it out of interest and it came back a cat b

If it's your property then you can sell it whole, i have bought a few of them and sold them in one piece.

You can sell it, But the car can't go back on to the road.

As i said my mate bought his as a cat b (unbeknown to him at the time) then sold it on to a local lad and its still on the road now

Untrue! The vehicle will need a police inspection before DVLA will issue a log book though.
