Default SCOTS! Anyone know of a good body shop near Glasgow, please?

Evening all...the friend of mine that has very kindly (well, sort of - it is a Z3 ) allowed me to drive her car while in Glasgow, managed to reverse it into a short post last night, and has cracked the rear bumper, and it has also broken the mount on the nearside, too.

Being a ncie fella 'n all, I've volunteered to get it sorted for her, so I was wondering if anyone knows of a good body shop in or around the Glasgow area, please?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I've learnt from bitter experience not to trust just anyone with bodywork...

Oh, and to Scottish Greg, Beaky, Mike, Chop, Mattie, Eil et al, if any of you boys are still using this board, I'll drop you all a mail shortly, see if you fancy meeting up while I'm living up here.

Where abouts in Glasgow? I know a guy out in Cambuslang, if thats any good? Just a wee 2 man show so no hire car or anything, but I got them to repair a hire car for me which i quite badly bumped the sill on (on one of those massive curbs in a service station) and didnt wanna pay £450 excess.

He's about £70ish a pannel to spray + any fixing that needs done. I was 70 labour for fixing it and 70 to spray, he also touched up the underside of teh door. So i'd imagine you'd be the cost of the bumper, fitting and £70 spray.

PM me if you need details.

Alright there fellas...

James, thanks a lot, I'll drop you a PM

The Chop: yeah, I'm still alive, why wouldn't I be?! Just cos I ain't wasting all my money on a 43 year old Sapph no more doesn't mean I died (Although, most of the spare cash now goes on bacchanalia-bent debauchery, so I can see why you might think I'd gone down!)
And London's just grand, but I moved a few jobs up to our Glasgow office, and they offered me a job up here for a while, so I thought I'd give it a bash. Good city, like it.

Mikey. 'ello son. Like the ride. How's tricks?

Martin! You're the one I forgot! I went through the email addresses I have stored to make sure I didn't miss anyone out, but you being an elusive bugger, I never got hold of yours! Cheers for the advice...

Hope you're all keeping well...and where's my Scottish alter-ego?!

How come a thread with a title as promising as this soon fills up with southern reprobates.

Greg you could email RW - he knows a could of places that worked on his Evo that he trusted - TFyus@hotmail.com - not far from Glasgow And thats a hard test to pass!

Hello Dave. Nice of you to chip in.

Chopper, nah, ain't sent a mail, was just checking through contact details in an attempt to address everyone I know from this side of the border on this post! I ain't got Martin's or RW's addys, hence not listing those two boys. It's been a while, y'know?
Not with the missus, that dissipated last year. Ho hum. You?!
I'm up here til August or September, then heading off to work in Budapest for a couple of years.
Will have to arrange to meet up with you all sometime, considering I'm vaguely near to you boys now...

Pon, it's pretty good up here, got things set up nicely. Ruined at the moment from last night's overexuberence (and I'm meant to be taking some lass out tonight, which I now really can't be arsed to!), but it's been good fun up here so far. Drop us a mail pal, will catch up - I'm still on greg.hensman@morganstanley.com, or greggers@india.com.

Co, bit far away now for me to be asking you lot where you get your cars sorted!
No comment on second bit
re. PPS: I never turn up early enough, or am sober enough next day, to have nicked the Cossie, in ears and ears! You're safe for now

And good call Martin, they must be good! Thanks for the info Will drop the RW lad a mail...

Shame about the mrs. I hope it was through your own choice. Where exactly are you staying up here then? You got wheels?
A meet up would be nice

Just edited my post, and you've replied before I'd finished!

I'm staying in Charing Cross, in the west end, just off the end of Sauchiehall Street...quite a good location, but there're far too many bars in the locale!
Got this lass's motor 'til the end of March, and I'm considering buying an Alfa GTV I took out the other weekend, just a cheapish runabout. Need wheels so I can get to all the golf courses round here! (That's if I can ever get my sorry arse out of bed during light hours at weekends...)

Is that the same Sapph you've got as before, or a new one?

And yeah, will defo have to sort summat out...will send a mail to youse lot when I get to work (where I've got all your boys' email addys) on Monday...

That's cos I was in bed all day yesterday after a heavy one at the Arches Saturday night, and have been busy trying not to fall asleep at work today

Anyways, you haven't gone back and answered my Q about your missus yet!

And I thought I recognised it from somewhere; shame it's broke, was quite a beast last time I went out in it!
