Default MAP readings

what should a Manifold actual pressure reading be at idle or does this differ from car to car?

how do you get accurate boost pressure reading from a MAP reading?

Say you had 31.9 psi MAP reading would you just subtract the idle map reading to get the boost pressure?

ide varies from engine to engine.

To get boost from that reading you must read it in absolute pressure,. so subtract one bar for the earths atmosphere and you have your boost.

btw

1 atm = 14.7psi

where as

1 bar = 14.5psi

All down to the variation of air pressure on the earth!
