Serious post, it that once you achieve something that is record breaking, theres allways going to be someone else that will aim to better it - so maybe you can never relax about it as your record it there to be broken

 

No, but surely the person shouldnt give a fuck

Its not like a record anyone gives a fuck about, not exactly Sky News material, nobodys digging Roy Castle up to officiate it

 

As a muscian worked with Roy in the 1980's a really nice guy & brilliant entertainer, he may just have been interested in my cars achievements.

Course not, but...

Dont get me wrong, Rods cars fookin awesomely fast, but IMO its an achievment he enjoys and rightly so, not one someone should worry about if it gets beat, he will always be "rod and his 200mph saff", and not a world record that the whole world cares about, so not worth losing sleep over.

 

Are you asking do I fear the record being beaten. Im self confident enough (you lot call it arrogant) to say NO. To have you guys talking about a 61 year old pensioner is rather strange & the publicity from the 5th gear run has been incredible. You dont get Sponsors unless you can generate a lot of publicity in a lot of places & this is what has happened.

Im waiting for others to have a crack at the unimportant record at the mo but we are working on a mega response. This is keeping me young & I thank all you guys for not being ageist, I would not have taken kindly to an old fart owning the Fastest Ford on here when I was young so thanks.
I except the knockers as part & parcel of my cars success, because the people that count realise whats been achieved.
