As above.
i've had one on my cossie for a while,(borrowed off my brother) and once i learn't to set it up correctly, it was spot on.
some very good features.
i found alot of people/tuners dont like them, as they dont know how to use them correctly.

It's pretty much all we fit on the evo's at work mate - we've seen 930bhp on one...
As long as you don't plan to run over 2.5 bar of boost - there isn't another one i'd look at over an AVCR.
The black ones look shit hot too

in what way have u not been a fan? Features? Original was no where near the Apexi. The 2 takes things to a new level. The level of control is incredible, but most important is the twin solenoids, they are incredibly accurate, handling upto 4 bar. Not as pretty as the Apexi though

Some of the features are:
Selectable boost for each gear, 2 different boost programs[high/low], Fail safes where if it detects a fault, Scramble boost mode, to name a few.

mapping for fuel wise i mean.
how will the ecu compensate for less boost in 1st compared to 3rd sort of thing.
and would you buy 1 from that ebay link?

If its mapped correctly, the fueling will compensate the less /more boost via the load/rpm map in the ecu.
For the boost per gear to work, the car will need to be fitted with a speed sensor, and then the apexi unit needs to be set up for the gear speeds in the options.

I'd rather have my car map'd first using an mbc if you have no other ways of adjustment then fit the avcr. Simply because it time comsuming to get the setting spot. Infact i found your forever fine tuning tuning it, becomes quite annoying after a while.
It is a very good controller, the only small problem i found is that if left in self learn overboosting becomes a problem.

the only reason i want 1 is for the different boost settings in different gears,
low boost in 1st, bit more in 2nd then full boost in 3rd.
and to see what the injectors/tps is doing.

No,
You need a speedo sender unit from say a FRST, which will screw between your speedo cable and the gearbox, and once wired in, will give the apexi unit a signal.

As Dan said, you need to provide the AVC-R with a digital speed input. If the ECU doesn't already have a signal output, this can be done via a separate sensor.

I don't think you'll have any problems if you bought it off of him.
