can I feed the secs monitor rpm signal from the wasted spark driver's rev counter output or will it end in tears

Trev........

You can mod the cossie revcounter to work with the SECS driver output,also the early drivers needed a small mod to them as well...

Give us a min and i`ll see if i can find the details...

Doh........

Just realised what you meant......My monitor only reads half revs from the driver revcounter output,don`t think they will work with the wasted spark conversion....

but your secs is still getting the signal from one of the ignition amps, not from pin 21 the dedicated rev counter driver, so if connect the secs to pin 21 will it read correct rpm?

just put a 30amp fuse in the link so at least it wont catch fire

em if I was brave enough to try it mate I wouldnt be asking the question, I might be asking how much a new secs monitor or wasted spark board is though

It will end in tears

I have just restarted the monitor business with new manufacturers.

There will be a software upgrade available very soon for old monitors
to make the display read correctly for wasted spark drivers.

Just waiting for a batch of new chips from the USA to arrive.

(These are on a 12 week lead time )

Should be available within then next few weeks

can u tell me what the reading for the rpm on the secs monitor should be with coil pack,half or full cos mine is readind full

I will be interested in this if it ever comes through lol as i have no rev counter at all at the mo
