if the house didnt fall through then it would have been 24 for me and the g/f 
but we are in the process of another house but are still waiting for the contracts to be drawn

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
24 (just over 2-1/2 years ago) for a 2 bed hoose.
Just sold that with a Ł60K over what we paid for it in 2004.
26 and just bought a 4 bed croft, steading with stables, 2.5 acres of land for...........a good few pennies.
You say house prices are mad with you lot, come to Aberdeen where it's the highest price increase in the whole of the UK (annouced this week)

I think I was either 17 or 18, best thing i ever done, now i own a few houses and if I sold them now the amount of money Iv'e made them in just over 10 years is quite frankly scarily high. 
A lot of people are saying house prices are going to crash, that won't happen in the next 5 years so first time buyers are going to be suffering and more people are going to be renting.

i was 25 and the wife was 24 we got our 3 bed semi with conservatory & garage in nice area of south shields for Ł165k last year

Just bought recently 
Im was 22, and my fella is 26
Paid 105k for it, 3 beds, which is now 2 as we moved the bathroom into it front and rear gadens, and a double garage!!!
