I bought at 18 for 71.5k in Stanmore with brother - 2 bed end of terrace sold that moved to 3 bed semi Dunstable now going to sell this house and buy another house and possibly a flat off plan.
I wish we'd bought the 3bed house that we looked at instead of the 2 bed as looking at the prices they've gone up to would have made a shit load more
cheers

What does everyone think of the current house market situation, anyone think it will go down, stabilise or even crash like in 89/90?
Surely it can't go up forever otherwise 85% of England won't be able to get a place or even afford rent. But then there are those you think it will continue to rise. Bit of a gamble really as the best price rise people have already taken advantage (1997-now) of but if it goes down then you're left with negative equity and stuck in a shit hole for life.

house
Didn't buy my first place until I was 31, sold that and moved into my second property feb 05, I have earned 80k in 4 years, should have bought my first house 10 years ago when I was 25, instead I was wasting money on cars and popping disco biscuits like they had gone outta fashion, can't cry over spilt milk as they say

Bought in 2002 (was 22 at the time) with my brother. Sold that after a year with a huge profit and paid off debts. Bought another cheapie and done that up, sale is going through at the mo, hopefully it will be done soon.
Why does the buying/selling process take so long???
