Default Crime numbers

A guy from ebay who I believe (99% sure) has some parts that were stolen of mine on his car has emailed me asking for the crime reference to the case.

Is its advisable that I give it to him ?

He wont talk on the phone as he wants to see anything in writing for his records which is fair enough.

Cheers Dave

Called the PC in charge and strangely enough there was no one there

how helpful !

If I had the time to get over there I would go and pay the guy a visit, he has apparently only owned the car 4 months. He brought it from a garage in Rugby who claim they built it for drag racing 2 years ago.

So basically there saying there is no way that they are my bits, I have no serial numbers, but you know when something is yours dont you.

A personal visit would be good but am I honestly going to get my stuff back

Seem to be fighting a losing battle and as its over such a small amount of things I'm considering letting it go

If the plod don't want to help out then not much I can realistically do is there.

Fucking pikey bastards

Unless its identifiable by serial numbers or some unique marking then your wasting your time really.

only unique markings are what I know in my head, not sadly anything I have a photo of.

I found the original post from when the stuff went missing, and pics of the seats from when I had them for sale.

I know the serial numbers on the seat are from 1996/97 but they are recovered so look like much newer models Sparcos.

Mounts are the steel sparco ones from my mk2 which are drilled to fook to fit nova subframes.

He could easily say that he done that though as again I have no actual proof.

Oh well

Its not gone anywhere yet.

But tbh can't be arsed chasing the damn thing about anymore.

Will write it off and learn to be more careful in future.

Shit world we live in though, totally crapping myself about when the Escort is done, won't feel safe leaving it anywhere, I'm quite sure plenty of others have the same views these days too
