i'm pretty sure a dry cell in a battery can cause the alternator to kick out too much juice (but i may be wrong). Could be worth getting another battery to stick on to see if its still doing it??

Should'nt it only be around 14volts with every thing turn on ie light fans ect ect But if the battery keep loing charge then its probly best to change it and see whot volts its running

Alternators can overcharge, which then leads to your battery getting fried!
Take it to a garage or a decent spares shop to get it double checked if you're not sure... should be mid to high 13's really.

right every one has got the wrong end of the stick I run my own garage so I am not stupid just asking if the regulator on the alternator is fooked and causing it to give out 16v as it use to be 14v thanks anways

the internals of the alternator are obviously working well, but the regulator isnt controling the amount of charge being produced , this is probably what killed the battery in the first place...

I had this once - 6years ago infact...unfortunately I did completely the wrong thing & ignored it thinking it was ok - it fried my battery, ECU & headunit in the process!!!!
