Whats the law ?

It does have to be above a certain temperature to work, as per the Working Conditions Act. No idea what it is, but there are stipulations. It is because the heatings been off for 2 weeks and it needs to warm up or is the system not working ?

The heating is broken, aparently there was a pipe burst on the 3rd floor just before Xmas and it aint been fixed yet, so theres been no heating in here for well over a week. Its like a icebox

Yeo, we all got sent home, the min temp is 16 and was 14 in our office.

what about people who work outside? or like me, have a temp building about the size of a football pitch, theres no heating in there and the external door is open most of the day for wagons etc, that never gets above outside temp, does that mean I can go home every day till they put heaters in it?
