Default Whats the law on parking a trailer unhitched on the road ?

Anybody know the law on parking, my neighbour has a trailer its what i call a burger van box type thing , its the sort of box trailer you'd carry equipment or motorbikes in etc. In the space of 2 years its probably moved about 4 or 5 times. Is it legal to keep a trailer parked on the road unhitched, i don't think it is but iv'e checked everything i can find about road/parking laws i can find nothing on it.

I'm not being a moaning bastard but parking is bad enough down our road anyway without his poxy trailer.

Anyone know where i can find any more info on this subject.

Edd so your saying if i had one of those small trailers that people use for garden waste/going to the tip etc i could quite legally park it with no vehicle attached outside anyones house for as many years as i liked ?
Would of thought myself that it would have to be actually hitched to a taxed & insured vehicle whilst its being parked on the road, but i can't find any info.

Cheers Si

Get in touch with the council, they can have it removed if it is being left for long periods

why not go next door and talk to the guy like a man, explain in a civilised fashion that it is a bit of a pain, im sure between you both u could come up witha solution.... failing this then look into other avenues....... why start with extreme measures like calling the council etc
