Default ipod and mp3s from HDD?

time to get an ipod one of the 80gb ones

ive got on my harddrive 72gbs of music, it all normally plays in wmp, there 100s of dj mix's etc rather than just single tracks and albums.

my question, is it as simple as plug the ipod into the pc, copy my music folder with 72gbs of stuff an drag/drop it to the ipod icon???

I'm no expert on itunes but yesterday I tried to load a CD of tunes all saved as wma files and had to do them one by one as the individual songs needed converted to AAC format.

There may be a way to batch import them but I didn't have the time to go looking for the solution.

you can add a folder rather than individual tunes and it will still convert them for you

Fil do it through iTunes rather than using the ipod as a removable hard drive, same principle though

iTunes can be setup to covert wma files on the fly so they can be played in iTunes and hence, the iPod. Let it complete once you've told it where to import the files from and drag and drop it to the iPod.

Savastore normally have some good deals on iPod's.

Cheers

Matt
