I only post this to show that it is possible to be looked after by the company you work for financially.
I was promoted into my current role 9 months ago. i have worked very hard all the 9 months. I was rated a 5 this year, which is on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the highest achievable. Only a handful are handed out by each section of the Royal Bank each year. The result is I will get about a 22% bonus of my annual wage ontop of my regular wage on March 18th, a pay increase on my current job at the highest level possible for standard annual increase and I will be getting a promotion to the next grade by February and atleast another 10k ontop of my annual salary
I am not moaning at the free money and I am grateful.
Oh yeah - not to mention that I will be being taken to Lisbon for 4 days of being treated like a king, 5 star hotels, chatered plane to take us there, own check in desk for RBS staff only etc. Wont cost a penny and wont be counted as holidays.

ohh since u mention leaving work early I did get away at 12:30 instead of 5pm so its not all bad. The best bit is im not back to work until the 8th of January now.

I gave my lads Ł20 and a 24 bottles of stella each and let them go at 12 o'clock today 
I think they are lucky to get that as we have struggled this year to keep a float and one of them said to my mate i am a tight fisted bastard 
what a knob, he said it after a couple drinks and i promised my mate i would'nt say anything. I really feel like phoning him and telling him not to come back to work in january. BONUS LOL

Not like the RBS don't make enough profit though really
As it happens i got a wee xmas bonus on fri too! Letter from work moving me up a grade witha tasty 15% payrise! WOOHOO!

Well after working for 18 months with no payrise and after making my boss a extra Ł600 on 2 cars I sold for him I got a Ł100 bonus for Crimbo.
Tbh though I didn't expect a thing as he is as tight as a ducks butt so Ł100 has gone nicely towards my weekend away

Moving up a grade is the way fwd, usually comes with extra features aswell as the pay increase Always good to feel appreciated.
22% ontop of a currently "not too shabby" wage is all good!
I'm looking fwd to seeing how much I can get out of them for my next pay increase with my new role in the new year. I'm hoping for 30% ontop of base current salary.
That means that next years bonus would be 22% of the 30% increase etc lol.
Still, my sis earns something like 5 to 6 times what I do at the moment, so I get all excited about my new pay packet and she earns all that in two months!!!

got 30 quid nexy vouchers, only been working for me boss for 3 mothns so i thought it was a nice gesture actually!! grateful to get anything tbh, get away with murder in work half the time anyway so dont wanna push it expecting a cash bonus too, lol
