Default Electrical question........

Christmas lights,

A set of Xmas lights, the ones that have several circuits and do chasing effects etc, can you shorten the cables that go into the control box, or does this effect resistance and stuff and perhaps make them overheat??

aslong as you dont mean your cutting lamps from the circuit, and your just cutting the wires,, you'll be fine

Wires have next to fuck all resistance anyway, long as theres a load on the circuit (ie the lights) then you wont over heat it. As Gareth says, feel free to shorten them!
