who tell lies about the spec of a car when they are selling it.

I was told by the chap I bought the 3 Door off... who had been told by the chap he bought it off that it had an Alcon 6 paddle clutch in it...

Well it didnt !!!

It had a standard Motorcraft Clutch in it...


This now makes me wonder how many other things of the spec are 'not true' like the lighten & balance, the Ported & Polished Head, the BD10 Cams.... etc...

yes mate... a big fat one... one so fat I could hardly jump over it.

But no mention of the engine work as it was done by someone 'on the side' sort of thing.

Although its deffo on a 200 block and it does go really well..... but I wouldnt know how a car with a ported head would over the 'unported'

But things like Ported heads, lightened & balanced engines are all things that are impossible to check for when buying a car...

same with saying it had a 6 paddle in it when it didnt...


Just annoying really....

Still love the car and happy with it etc.... but just wish people wouldnt fib when selling things

 

i never take anyones word for it

if i cant see it i dont believe them basically that way you cant be suprised to find that you were right and they were wrong.

 

ring the twat up and ask him for the money for the clutch or you will take him to the small claims court, he LIED, which is an offence due to him misdescribing the goods he was selling even if you aren't going to just to see the reaction

Its white mate...

Yeah, I took a white one in p/ex for my 500 when that went.. but I wasnt 100% happy with it so I sold it to Keith and looked around for 'the one'. In the meantime Keiths limp wrists werent man enough for rear wheel drive so he did a deal with Steve at SCC for his Series 1.

The one I've got now had only done about 54,000 miles when I got it, its on 64,000 now. Had a full rebuild on a 200 block with a T34, 500 Cooler etc and then alledgedly had some headwork, cams, lightened & balanced etc...

But after the clutch business... I'm just tempted to say its just had a re-build on a 200 block, at least I have receipts for all the bearings, gaskets etc etc so can feel confident saying that.

Its at the Beds Meets every month.. you should come down mate !
